1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Polo, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree, please don't use our services.

2. Description of Service

Polo provides AI-powered trip planning tools including itinerary creation, place discovery, content parsing, and accommodation recommendations. The service is provided "as is" and we reserve the right to modify or discontinue features at any time.

3. User Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account
  • You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use Polo
  • One person, one account – no sharing or multi-accounting

4. User Content

You retain ownership of content you upload (screenshots, notes, etc.). By uploading, you grant us a license to process, store, and display this content to provide our services. You're responsible for ensuring you have rights to any content you upload.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use Polo for any illegal purpose
  • Upload malicious content or spam
  • Attempt to reverse engineer or hack our systems
  • Scrape or bulk download content
  • Impersonate others or provide false information

6. Third-Party Services

Polo integrates with third-party services including:

  • OpenAI: For AI-powered content analysis
  • Google Maps: For location data and mapping
  • Authentication providers: For secure login

These services have their own terms and privacy policies. We're not responsible for third-party services or content.

7. AI-Generated Content

Polo uses AI (via OpenAI) to generate recommendations and parse content. While we strive for accuracy, AI can make mistakes. Always verify important travel information independently. We're not responsible for errors in AI-generated content.

8. Limitation of Liability

Polo is a planning tool, not a travel agent. We are not liable for:

  • Inaccurate place information or recommendations
  • Issues with third-party bookings
  • Lost or stolen belongings during travel
  • Any damages arising from use of our service

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Polo's total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us (which is $0 for free users).

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Polo and its operators from any claims arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use Polo ends immediately.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. We'll notify you of significant changes.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in courts located in the United States.
